Komika is pretty nice. What program do you use for lettering? I've made a lot of webcomic remixes, mostly in Photoshop Elements 5.0. It calls the command to change the amount of space between lines "set the leading".

You beat me to it, Scientivore! I was going to wax on about leading and tracking, but you did a better job and even had a screenshot!

Artis, I much prefer Komika, which I think it makes Metrophor more distinctive. Digital Scripts is so dull and overdone and the all-caps drives me nuts! But that's just one font-geek's opinion.

Ooo, thank you both. I shall definitely look into that. I prefer Komika, as well, but the spacing has been giving me hell. But if this works, then I'll go right back to it. Digital Strips is used so much because it's easily accessible off of Blambot. The major reason it's oft used is that it's hard to find fonts that you can use in published works without paying something. It and number of other fonts off of Blambot are publishable without any fees, so long as it's independent publishing.

The readme for Komika states that it can be used for personal or commercial use. It hasn't taken off because it just doesn't have the same exposure as the fonts off of Blambot...whoever made it seems to have moved on with their lives. Oh well, my hat's off to them anyhow!

Edit: Success! Komika it is!

Woohoo! Glad I could help. Smile

I didn't realize that Komika is also free for commercial use. I hadn't actually read the readme yet since I've only had non-commercial uses for the free fonts so far. *read read* Oh wow! I somehow missed downloading 10 out of the 50(!!) Komika fonts -- the Hands set -- when I originally got them from dafont. Omission rectified! Cool

Edited to add, I just realized that Derek Vogelpohl's free fonts (mentioned in the Komika readme) are Shy Fonts, which I'd bookmarked some time ago and hadn't downloaded yet. Well...now I have half of them. Fun times!
